Following closure of the Tunbridge Wells Poetry Festival, the festival committee has allocated its remaining funds to help spread the love of poetry.
They invite local community groups who are charities or not-for-profit organisations to bid for funding to widen participation in poetry through practical means. Schools may also apply if their own funding won’t cover their project. Requests of up to £500 will be considered.
Organisations applying for funding must have a constitution or other governance documents and a bank account. Small presses wishing to hold an event to promote local poets and poetry may also apply. Groups without governance documents or a bank account might wish to consider teaming up with a formally constituted organisation such as a school or charity in a joint enterprise.
To apply, go to the Festival website https://twpoetryfestival.com/ and submit the application form
