Poet and performer, a punk long before and long after it was fashionable; Scottish by origin, European by inclination, upholder of the Auld Alliance, Roger West also has a presence in France where he performs regularly at festivals: poetry with live music and electronic soundscapes.
The Alastair Reid Pamphlet Prize was established by Wigtown Festival Company in 2019 to commemorate the local poet who was one of Scotland’s foremost literary figures, renowned for poetry, prose and translation.
