Our Joint Secretary Mara Bergman is headlining as the Monthly Guest Poet at the Eastbourne Poetry Cafe meeting on 11th March. This includes Open Mic and starts at 7 pm at the Frontier Bar on Grove Rd. in Eastbourne.
Two other Society members – Kevin Scully and Oenone Thomas – are appearing in Eastbourne the following week at the Poetry Cafe’s celebration of World Poetry Day, 21st March. The theme of the evening is Journeying. This event will be held at the Fisherman’s Club on the Royal Parade in Eastbourne. Starts at 7 pm. Kevin and Oenone are featured alongside Antony Mair: all three of whom are past or present Poets-In-Residence for the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path.
Meanwhile, Society member Sarah Salway has a poem included in the very timely new publication Ten Poems About Snowdrops, part of the Candlestick Press’s popular Poems Instead of a Card series.
