It’s always a pleasure to note when Kent & Sussex Poetry Society members do well in competitions. Recent successes include:
Kevin Scully, who was one of three winners in the Eastbourne Poetry Cafe competition, with his poem The Counting of Sheep. Kevin is clearly on a roll, as his poem The Family Tartan was awarded first prize in the Ashdown Forest Poetry Competition.
Meanwhile our newest member, Di Hills, was also one of the three winners at the Eastbourne Cafe competition for her poem Countdown for Life .
Jeff Gallagher scored two successes in the Queen’s English Society Open Poetry Competition: his poem Crow was the winner, and another of his poems, Honey and Lemon, was the runner-up. They can be read here.
Congratulations to all three.
